The future is now, old man!
In an ever-so-evolving global society, robots and automation’s place in the realm of technology is becoming increasingly indispensable. The ability to compute, program, and operate machinery is rapidly becoming a necessity in various sectors, such as engineering, finance, and education. Ibrahim Opeyemi Salami, founder of The Dynamics, is a Robotics and AI Enthusiast, and he determines these two fields of science to become essential components of the international economy in the near future.
Beyond the mere fact that employers will soon demand automation skills from employees, being unable to comprehend simple computing patterns may position one as a societal outcast. Just like how the English language is fundamental to navigating the world, robotics will possibly become integrated into our everyday lives.
On that note, we are pleased to announce that The Dynamics has recently established an official partnership with the American Corner at Co-Creation Hub, Nigeria. The United States Government initiative will provide us with resources from it’s well-equiped makerspace to teach robotics at a foundational level.
We have been given the permission to run the program with the aid of Lego Mindstorms®, robots that can easily be built and programmed with instructions designed by the Danish toymakers. Enrollees will also have access to 3D printers, Makey Makey invention kits, Raspberry Pi learning tools, and so much more. This hands-on approach to education will provide students with the readiness to operate basic machinery and the understanding of computer science.
Applications to participate in the program will open soon, so stay tuned!
